I am an associate professor at CentraleSupélec, Université Paris-Saclay, and a researcher at the Laboratoire des Signaux et Systèmes (L2S). My research focuses on computational neuroscience and AI for health, drawing on methods from signal processing, machine learning, and multimodal AI. I am particularly interested in multimodal representation learning, foundation models, medical imaging and neuroimaging, speech and discourse analysis, and robust and interpretable AI.
Before joining CentraleSupélec, I was a postdoctoral researcher in the MIND team at Inria Saclay, where I worked with Bertrand Thirion and Demian Wassermann on multimodal learning and large language models for neuroscience meta-analysis. Earlier, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the MLSP Lab at UMBC, working with Tulay Adali on functional brain connectivity, subgroup identification, and reproducibility in neuroimaging.
I received my Ph.D. from Université Grenoble Alpes / GIPSA-lab, under the supervision of Christian Jutten and Bertrand Rivet, where I worked on optimal sensor placement for source extraction. Before that, at Sharif University of Technology in Tehran, I worked on MR image reconstruction, sparse recovery, dictionary learning, and non-convex optimization under the supervision of Massoud Babaie-Zadeh.
