Raul DE LACERDA
Raul de Lacerda is an associate professor at the Signals and Intelligent Networks Department at CentraleSupélec and a researcher at the Signals and Systems Laboratory (L2S - UMR8086/CNRS). Born in Fortaleza/Ceára/Brazil, he entered the Federal University of Ceará (UFC/Brazil) in 1999, where he received his Electrical Engineering degree (Dipl.Ing.) and M.Sc degree in Teleinformatics, respectively in 2003 and 2005. He also holds a french M.Sc. degree (DEA) in Communication Systems and a Ph.D. degree in Wireless Communication from Eurecom/France. Former member of the Special Training Program (PET) of UFC's Electrical Engineering Department, he joined the Telecommunication Group (GTEL/UFC) in 2001 as a research assistant to work on several scientific projects funded by Ericsson Research on topics related to wireless communication challenges for 4G. From 2004 to 2005, he was an invited researcher at CNRS I3S Laboratory in Sophia-Antipolis/France to work on topics related to tensorial decomposition techniques applied to wireless communication. He then joined the Mobile Communication department of Eurecom as a research associate until 2008. From 2008 to 2009, he worked as a research fellow at Alcatel-Lucent (Bell Labs) Flexible Radio Chair in collaboration with the Electromagnetism Department of Supélec. Since 2009, he has been an associate professor at Supélec. His research interests lie in the domain of advanced signal processing applied on wireless communications, spectrum sharing, and electromagnetic co-existence. He is the recipient of the Valuetools 2007 best student paper award and the DASC 2010 best session paper award. Former coordinator of the Erasmus Mundus EM-SMART2 Euro-Brazilian Consortium funded by EACEA/EU, he has been strongly involved in the international partnerships carried by CentraleSupélec.
