Thesis abstract:
This research project lies at the interface between automation, robotics and artificial intelligence. Its aim is to respond to one of the current industrial problems posed by collaborative robotics, namely the lack of generic criteria for characterizing its performance, including in comparison with conventional industrial robots. This deficit limits the development, acceptability and deployment of these robotic systems and the associated automatic information processing functionalities (computer vision, control laws, etc.).
This thesis will lead to the creation of an optimized and comprehensive methodology for characterizing the performance and interaction quality of intelligent mechatronic collaborative robotic systems, by combining analytical and experimental approaches to mechatronic systems.
This research project is part of a scientific collaboration between researchers from L2S (CentraleSupélec, CNRS, Paris-Saclay university) and LNE (Laboratoire National de métrologie et d’Essais).
